Baseball Game Preview: Webutuck Warriors vs. Ellenville Blue Devils

Webutuck is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Ellenville a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Webutuck Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ellenville Blue Devils at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Webutuck and Rhinebeck had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors fell 5-2 to the Hawks on Tuesday. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Hawks since Tuesday.

Meanwhile, while it was Ellenville who put the first runs on the board on Monday, it was Dover who put up more. The Blue Devils lost 15-4 to the Dragons.

Cody Randazzo made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Ellenville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Webutuck, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Webutuck was able to grind out a solid victory over Ellenville when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 6-3. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
