Football Recap: Woodlawn Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 40 points the game before, Woodlawn was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They were dealt a 63-12 loss at the hands of the Parker Thundering Herd. The defeat continues a trend for the Colonels in their meetings with the Thundering Herd: they've now lost four in a row.

Cornealius Hudson threw for 161 yards and one touchdown. Kendric Smith was his top target, picking up 154 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Kharon Lewis rushed for 38 yards.

Dylan Reese had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 229 yards and six TDs while completing 75% of his passes for Parker. Reese's passing game has become a key predictor of the Thundering Herd's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.

Woodlawn's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Parker, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Woodlawn will square off against Center Point at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Parker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
