Basketball Recap: New Mexico School for the Deaf Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Monte Del Sol Charter came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against New Mexico School for the Deaf, but Tyler Todorovic wouldn't allow it. The Roadrunners strolled past the Dragons with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 68-52 thanks in part to Todorovic, who went 10-for-18 on his way to 29 points and six rebounds. Todorovic is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Gonzalez-Lopez, who posted 14 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.3% field goal percentage.

The victory (which was New Mexico School for the Deaf's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points over those games. As for Monte Del Sol Charter, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Mexico School for the Deaf will welcome Des Moines at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Monte Del Sol Charter, after both having extra time off, they and Socorro will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:30 p.m. on the 29th.
