Basketball Recap: Peebles Takes a Loss

If Peebles was feeling good fresh off their 69-46 takedown of Piketon last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Peebles Indians took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Adams Green Devils on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 611th, while the Green Devils are ranked 214th).

Peebles' loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for North Adams, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peebles will take on Whiteoak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Adams, they will face off against Western at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Western's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 games.
