After a string of six wins, Tioga's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mineral Wells Rams by a score of 2-1.

Kennedy Slay paced Tioga's offense, picking up 14 kills. Slay got some help from Sadie Bates and her 14 assists. Ella Norwood controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Mineral Wells can attribute much of their success to Averie Watson, who had nine kills, six digs, and three aces. Watson is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Gray, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Tioga's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4-2. As for Mineral Wells, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-5-1.

Tioga wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against S & S Consolidated on the 26th. As for Mineral Wells, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Graford on the 26th.
