Basketball Recap: Camden County Takes a Loss

Camden County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. The contest between them and the Holmes Aces didn't end well, with the Camden County Bruins falling 47-28. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aces this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-28 back in January.

Despite the loss, Camden County still got an impressive performance from Aaliyah Anderson, who posted 13 points.

Chloe Chappell was her usual excellent self, going 8-for-13 on her way to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals for Holmes. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Chappell has scored at least a third of Holmes' points. Ashayah Boston was another key player, putting up ten points.

Camden County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Holmes, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season.

Camden County has already played their next game, a 39-10 victory against Manteo on the 13th. As for Holmes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 48-38 loss against Hertford County on the 12th.
