Baseball Game Preview: Box Elder Bees vs. Clearfield Falcons

For the second straight game, Box Elder will face off against Clearfield. The Bees will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Box Elder is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, Box Elder needed a bit of extra time to put away Clearfield. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Falcons.

Box Elder let Grant Kohler and Porter Francom run wild. Kohler went 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple, while Francom went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three hits gave Kohler a new career-high.

Box Elder kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.6.

Box Elder's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Clearfield, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-10.
