Baseball Recap: Belfast Triumphs

Belfast had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Winslow on Friday. The Lions' pitchers stepped up to hand the Black Raiders a 7-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Black Raiders: they've now won six in a row.

Luke Littlefield was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Littlefield was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ethan Abbott was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Gary Gale was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
