Volleyball Game Preview: Denver Christian Thunder vs. Front Range Christian Falcons

After both having extra time off, the Denver Christian Thunder and the Front Range Christian Falcons will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Front Range Christian will be up against a hot Denver Christian squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Everything went the Thunder's way against Prospect Ridge Academy on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Denver Christian walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-23.

Anna Price and Amina Weber were among the main playmakers for Denver Christian as the former had five digs and two aces and the latter had six digs and five kills. Weber is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Front Range Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Dawson School 3-0 last Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-8, 25-16.

Denver Christian better focus on containing Fio Sarlo and Morgan Battey as the pair were huge in Front Range Christian's win. Sarlo had 12 digs and three aces, while Battey had ten digs.

Front Range Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Denver Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.

Denver Christian beat Front Range Christian 2-0 when the teams last played back in August. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
