Basketball Recap: Bowdon Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Timothy Johnson and Kaiden Prothro

Bowdon was the 71-57 winner over Trion when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Bowdon Red Devils fell to the Trion Bulldogs 58-53.

Bowdon's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Kaiden Prothro and Timothy Johnson. Prothro dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards, while Johnson went 5 of 7 en route to 13 points and eight rebounds. Prothro's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Joshwia Davis also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Bowdon now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Trion, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.

Bowdon has already played their next match, a 51-45 win against Elite Scholars Academy on the 25th. As for Trion, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-53 victory against Greenville on the 25th.
