Softball Recap: New Site Takes a Loss

If New Site was feeling good fresh off their 21-10 takedown of Thrasher last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. New Site came up short against the Wheeler Eagles on Monday, falling 17-7. The loss continues a trend for the Royals in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

New Site's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Wheeler, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

New Site will head out on the road to challenge Shannon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Site is facing Shannon at the right time seeing as Shannon is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Wheeler, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Thrasher on the 25th.
