New Madrid County Central is 0-3 against East Carter since March of 2019 but things could change on Friday. New Madrid County Central will venture away from home to take on East Carter at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

New Madrid County Central will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Malden, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. New Madrid County Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Malden on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, East Carter came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against the Bulldogs.

East Carter pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch. As for New Madrid County Central, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

New Madrid County Central might still be hurting after the 18-1 defeat they got from East Carter when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can New Madrid County Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
