Football Game Preview: Pulaski Blue Devils vs. Hannibal Warriors

Pulaski is a perfect 4-0 against Hannibal since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Blue Devils will face off against the Warriors at 12:00 p.m. Pulaski's defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so Hannibal's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Hannibal will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Pulaski extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. The Blue Devils strolled past Port Byron with points to spare, taking the game 33-18. The Blue Devils' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pulaski to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Pello, who rushed for 143 yards and one TD, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Dylan Scharoun, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pulaski was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 173 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Pulaski didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Pete Carnes and Gabe Basciani. Basciani also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 12.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, Hannibal was not quite Notre Dame's equal in the second half on Thursday. They came up short against the Jugglers, falling 34-14.

Pulaski's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hannibal, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Pulaski strolled past Hannibal when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a score of 32-18. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
