Basketball Recap: Kris Skibola Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Maspeth

There's no place like home for Martin Luther, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They strolled past the Maspeth Argos with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 62-47. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Argos back in December of 2024, they had to take a 78-72 loss.

Martin Luther's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kris Skibola, who went 7 of 16 to rack up 19 points. Another player making a difference was Damien Peterson, who went 6 for 14 en route to 14 points and eight boards.

Martin Luther's record is now 6-12. As for Maspeth, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Martin Luther nor Maspeth have any future games scheduled.
