Basketball Recap: Burlington Takes a Loss

Burlington played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Goodland Cowboys, falling 69-30. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now lost seven in a row.

Despite the loss, Burlington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Weston Schaal posted nine points.

Burlington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Goodland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

Burlington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-32 victory against Idalia on the 7th. As for Goodland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-35 win against Hugoton on the 7th.
