Softball Recap: Bradley Central Triumphs

After losing to Ooltewah the last time they met, Bradley Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bears narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Owls 4-2. The game was the first time the Bears have beaten the Owls on their field since May 3, 2024.

Kaylee Callahan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Maryah Greenwood was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

Bradley Central's win bumped their record up to 18-16. As for Ooltewah, their loss dropped their record down to 24-11.

As of now, neither Bradley Central nor the Owls have any future games scheduled.
