After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Merino, Simla was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 55-25 victory over the Kiowa Indians. The Cubs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 30 points or more this season.

Simla's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carlee Cox, who went 7 of 16 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Anna Kerst, who went 7 for 8 to rack up 16 points and three steals.

Cox wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Simla was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kiowa only posted nine assists.

Despite the defeat, Kiowa had strong showings from Deb Flipse, who posted eight points and six boards, and Karina Vidales, who put up eight points and six rebounds. Flipse is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games she's played.

Simla is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 47.6 points. As for Kiowa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Looking ahead, Simla will be playing in front of their home fans against Salida at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Simla's defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Salida's offense will have their work cut out for them. Kiowa has already played their next match (against Elbert), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
