Basketball Recap: Millington Central Takes a Loss

Millington Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiden Maclin, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody McGhee, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 16 points.

Millington Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millington Central will take on Tipton-Rosemark Academy in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hopkinsville at 7:30 p.m.
