Softball Recap: Peoria Comes Up Short

Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 36th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-3 to the Cactus Cobras. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cobras this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-4 last Monday.

Peoria saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anieah Lewis, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Peoria's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Cactus, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peoria will host Agua Fria at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cactus, they will be playing at home against Sahuarita at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
