Softball Recap: Simpson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hornbeck on Thursday, Simpson came back down to earth. The Broncos fell 5-2 to the Montgomery Tigers on Friday. The Broncos were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Simpson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Montgomery, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-14.

Simpson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-0 loss against D'Arbonne Woods on the 11th. As for Montgomery, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-7 victory against Avoyelles Charter on the 10th.
