Volleyball Recap: Quitman Comes Up Short

Quitman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Choctaw Central Warriors, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on August 7th.

Quitman may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored ten points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-10, 25-10.

Quitman's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Choctaw Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Quitman is taking a road trip to take on Union at 6:00 p.m. on September 4. As for Choctaw Central, they will square off against Newton County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
