Baseball Recap: Wyoming Area Comes Up Short

Wyoming Area suffered their biggest defeat since March 22nd on Thursday. They lost 11-3 to the Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Knights earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Ben Rogish made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Wyoming Area and nudges their season record down to 9-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 13-2 Holy Redeemer (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 76.7% over those games). As for Wyoming Seminary College Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Coming up, Wyoming Area will take on Wallenpaupack Area at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wyoming Seminary College Prep, they will host Holy Redeemer at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
