Basketball Recap: Union Star Takes a Loss

Union Star was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Mound City Panthers and fell 51-8. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Union Star's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Mound City, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Union Star will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Mound City, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Mound City Panthers take on the Osborn Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
