Baseball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Find Success

Isle of Wight Academy's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Arcadia Firebirds 5-4.

Jadon Robertson looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Wyatt King, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that he got this season.

The victory got Isle of Wight Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Arcadia, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Isle of Wight Academy will head out to challenge Peninsula Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
