Basketball Recap: Valor Preparatory Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Charlotte Lab School

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valor Preparatory Academy). They really took it to the Charlotte Lab School Lions for the full four quarters, racking up a 101-54 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Owls had established a 38 point advantage.

Valor Preparatory Academy's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bishop Witherspoon, who posted 34 points. Witherspoon's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Kerr, who had 19 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Valor Preparatory Academy and bumps their season record up to 5-10. As for Charlotte Lab School, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Valor Preparatory Academy will face off against Sugar Creek Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Charlotte Lab School, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grace Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th.
