Football Recap: Hiawatha Takes a Loss

If Hiawatha was riding high fresh off their 50-8 takedown of Harvest-Westminster last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks were outmatched by the Alden-Hebron Green Giants and fell 48-12. The loss put an end to the Hawks' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hiawatha fell to 2-1. As for Alden-Hebron, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hiawatha will challenge rival Christian Life/Keith Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Alden-Hebron is set to face off against their familiar foe Rockford Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
