Game recap: Liberty High School Football Team defeats Silverado

The scores gave the senior 17 touchdowns for the year.

Liberty (Henderson, Nev.) was up 13-6 at the half after taking the lead on a Niko Kapeli touchdown run in the second quarter.

The Patriots saw their 7-point halftime lead fall to five entering the fourth.

With the win Liberty extended its winning streak to nine games. LHS defeated the Falcons 48-25 last week.

Silverado (Las Vegas, Nev.)'s Austin Hunt played well. The junior wide receiver ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to three on the year.



The Henderson school entered the contest giving up 22.3 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding the Skyhawks well below their season average of 28.9 points scored per game.

When the two teams played each other last season, Liberty came away with a 26-20 victory.
