Football Recap: Minor Tigers vs. Northridge Jaguars
Minor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 26-25 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northridge Jaguars. Despite 64 more yards than the Jaguars, the Tigers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Dominic White and Tommie Burts certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. White picked up 230 receiving yards and three scores, while Burts threw for 289 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. Burts' passing game has become a key predictor of Minor's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-5 otherwise.
A big part of Northridge's win came down to the chemistry between Mayson Elam and his top target Tate Espey. Elam rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown while Espey picked up 80 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. That's the most rushing yards Elam has posted since back in September of 2024.
Minor's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Northridge, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.
