Basketball Recap: Clear Creek Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Clear Creek lost against Conifer back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golddiggers fell 67-56 to the Lobos.

Despite the loss, Clear Creek still got an impressive performance from Donovan Duke, who shot 59% from the field to rack up 31 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Duke has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times he's played. Zephyr Schuessler was another key player, putting up 19 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Dylan Warner had an outrageously good game for Conifer as he went 7-for-12 en route to 18 points and six boards. Those 18 points gave Warner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Arndt, who posted 12 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Clear Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Clear Creek is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Jefferson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Conifer, they will take on Platte Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
