Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ninety Six). They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Abbeville Panthers on Thursday. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Panthers on their field since March 6, 2023.

Ninety Six's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Abbeville, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4.

Looking ahead, Ninety Six will venture away from home to square off against Strom Thurmond at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Abbeville, they will welcome McCormick at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
