Football Recap: Dymally Takes a Loss

Dymally lost against Crenshaw back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Challengers had to suffer through a 34-6 loss at the hands of the Cougars. The Challengers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.

Crenshaw's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rashi Avery-Smith, who rushed for 115 yards and one TD on only five carries. Avery-Smith's longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain her lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmani Bell, who gained 108 total yards and a touchdown.

Dymally's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Crenshaw, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4-1 record this season.

Dymally didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 25-6 loss against Fremont on the 22nd. As for Crenshaw, they will venture away from home to take on Hawkins at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
