Basketball Recap: Wendover Takes a Loss

Wendover fought the good fight in their overtime match against Tintic on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tintic Miners by a score of 44-41. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

Tintic was led to victory by Mariana Pena and Jordan Conder. Pena almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds, while Conder posted eight points and five boards.

Wendover's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Tintic, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

When Wendover and Tintic next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Wendover will try to stop St. Joseph's three-game winning streak when the meet at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Tintic will try to stop Tabiona's eight-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
