Basketball Recap: Bosque Takes a Loss

Bosque was the 63-62 winner over Rehoboth Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bosque Bobcats took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rehoboth Christian Lynx on Saturday. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Bosque saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josiah Wilson posted seven points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Wilson has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Kruft, who scored 12 points.

Bosque's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Rehoboth Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Bosque will square off against Cuba at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bosque is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season. As for Rehoboth Christian, they will take on Laguna Acoma at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Laguna Acoma knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Rehoboth Christian likes a good challenge.
