Powdersville piles up the points against Palmetto

Recap: Powdersville Patriots vs. Palmetto Mustangs

The Powdersville Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Palmetto on the road to the tune of 85-50. Powdersville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Powdersville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaleel McGee led the charge by scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Jack Hurst was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Powdersville has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Palmetto, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Powdersville will be playing at home against Belton-Honea Path at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Belton-Honea Path will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Powdersville is ranked 18th). As for Palmetto, they will head out on the road to square off against Southside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
