Soccer Game Preview: Princeton vs. Washington

Princeton hasn't had much luck against Washington recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tigers will square off against the Hatchets at 8:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Princeton took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Tigers who were credited with the win. Princeton got it done in the shootout by posting two goals to North Posey's one. Princeton haven't had any issues with North Posey recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

On Wednesday, Washington was able to grind out a solid win over Mt. Vernon, taking the game 3-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Washington's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Mt. Vernon are ranked 288th).

Princeton's record is now 7-8-1. As for Washington, their record now sits at 10-5-1.
