Baseball Recap: Estacada Takes a Loss

Estacada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of The Dalles Riverhawks. The Rangers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Riverhawks earlier this season, when they won 7-2.

Landon Thomas was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Dane Carpenter, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Estacada's loss dropped their record down to 12-12-1. As for The Dalles, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Estacada will face off against Madras at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for The Dalles, they will take on Molalla at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Riverhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
