Baseball Recap: Platt Panthers vs. Shepaug Valley Spartans

Platt can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past the Shepaug Valley Spartans 9-1. This was payback for Platt, who suffered a 12-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ryan Zauner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Zauner was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Jordan Malone looked comfortable as he pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
