Basketball Recap: Western Albemarle Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Western Albemarle can now relate to. They lost 64-41 to the Spotswood Trailblazers on Friday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trailblazers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

The defeat snapped Western Albemarle's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-6 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points over those games. As for Spotswood, the victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 23-3.

As of now, neither Western Albemarle nor Spotswood have any future games scheduled.
