Preview: Dulaney Lions vs. Carver A&T Wildcats
Dulaney is 4-0 against Carver A&T since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Dulaney Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Carver A&T Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Dulaney narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past New Town 37-35. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Dulaney has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Carver A&T put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put the hurt on Patapsco with a sharp 44-24 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Carver A&T has posted against Patapsco since December 14, 2016.
Carver A&T found their leader in underclassman Elisah Guity, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Guity has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Brandon, who scored ten points.
Dulaney's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Carver A&T, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Dulaney took their win against Carver A&T in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 52-29. Will Dulaney repeat their success, or does Carver A&T have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
