Volleyball Recap: Rolling Meadows Comes Up Short

Rolling Meadows lost to Maine West back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 28-26.

Inti Zapata paced Rolling Meadows' offense, picking up 12 kills. Zapata got some help from Landon Price and his 30 assists. Nikodem Opiola controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Rolling Meadows' defeat dropped their record down to 20-12. As for Maine West, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rolling Meadows will challenge Prospect at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Maine West, they will square off against Hoffman Estates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
