Recap: Halls Red Devils vs. West Rebels

If the Halls Red Devils were feeling good off their 81-52 takedown of the Glenwood Gators on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Halls' tough 70-48 defeat to West on Thursday might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Halls has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Halls lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jake Lane. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. The match was Lane's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandler Gamble, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.

Halls has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for West, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Halls and Karns will face off at 11:30 a.m. on December 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Karns is ranked 202nd, while Halls is ranked 196th). West will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Alcoa at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
