Basketball Recap: Northview Extends Winning Streak to Three

Northview had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 51-36 victory over the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Zanariae White and Sage Lanning certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. White went 5 for 9 on her way to 15 points and eight rebounds, while Lanning posted nine points.

Northview's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northview and North Putnam will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northview is facing North Putnam at the right time seeing as North Putnam is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Terre Haute North Vigo will take on Owen Valley in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
