Softball Recap: Addison Bulldogs vs. Hubbertville Lions
Addison had lost 11 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-18 to make it 12. They came up short against the Hubbertville Lions, falling 13-2. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Addison saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Carter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Walker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Walker went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Cox went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Hubbertville let Addison Tucker and Zoe Whitson run wild. Tucker went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Whitson went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave Whitson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ali Burgess, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.
Looking ahead, Addison will look to defend their home field on Monday against Danville at 4:30 p.m. As for Hubbertville, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hackleburg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
