Maple Mountain is 2-8 against Salem Hills since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles will be playing at home against the Skyhawks at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Maple Mountain got a massive performance out of Gracie Jensen, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave Jensen a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylee Robinson, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Maple Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wasatch only posted a batting average of .176.
Meanwhile, Salem Hills never let their opponents score on Saturday. They blew past Corner Canyon 16-0. The Skyhawks haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Keyana Murray was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Aliyah Elmer was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Camryn Guest was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one triple.
Maple Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Salem Hills, their win bumped their record up to 19-2.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Maple Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .406. However, it's not like Salem Hills struggles in that department as they've averaged .464. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
