Cranston West faced Cumberland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Falcons blew past the Clippers, posting a 29-0 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Falcons just coasted through the last quarter.

Cranston West was led to victory by Jon Leroux and Mehkhai Taylor. Leroux threw for 214 yards and two TDs, while Taylor rushed for 118 yards and one touchdown. Those 118 rushing yards gave Taylor a new career-high. Ariel Ochoa got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The Rebels will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cumberland, they will head out on the road to challenge Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
