            Softball Recap: Albany Cougars vs. Salesian College Preparatory Pride        
        
		
        
        
            Albany had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 10-10 to make it six. They lost  8-2 to the Salesian College Preparatory Pride. Having soared to a lofty 14  runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

 Albany saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Caroline Snyder, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base. Snyder is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played.
As for Salesian College Preparatory, the  victory was  the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-5. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.8 runs over those games.
On Salesian College Preparatory's side,  DeAmor Coleman made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits (and only one walk). Coleman was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 In other batting news, Salesian College Preparatory let  Cristina Martinez-Adalco and  Aleah Navarro run wild. Martinez-Adalco  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Navarro  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs and one  double. Those  three  RBI gave  Martinez-Adalco a new career-high.  Gloria Alcaire was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI.
As of now, neither Albany nor Salesian College Preparatory have any future games scheduled.
