Football Recap: Calhan Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Calhan came into this matchup off a tough 44-point loss last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the West Grand Mustangs by a score of 32-30 on Friday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

West Grand got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jake Trail out in front who picked up 141 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 32 yards. Another back making a difference was Landon Lockhart, who rushed for 125 yards and one score while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

Calhan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Grand, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhan will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Crowley County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Grand, they will challenge Front Range Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
