Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Academy Knights vs. Urbana University Illineks

The Calvary Christian Academy Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Urbana University Illineks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Urbana University took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Calvary Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

Calvary Christian Academy got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They blew past Judah Christian 52-22 on Monday. With the Knights ahead 35-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Urbana University ended up a good deal behind Arthur-Okaw Christian on Monday and lost 40-25. The Illineks haven't had much luck with the Conquering Riders recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Calvary Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Urbana University, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Calvary Christian Academy took their win against Urbana University in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 42-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calvary Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
