Recap: Water Canyon Wildcats vs. El Capitan/Centennial Academy
The Water Canyon Wildcats lost against El Capitan/Centennial Academy back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Water Canyon took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of El Capitan/Centennial Academy.
Despite the loss, Water Canyon still got an impressive performance from Martha Jessop, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 rebounds. Jessop scored a full 57.4% of Water Canyon's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Barlow, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds.
Water Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for El Capitan/Centennial Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Water Canyon will head out on the road to face off against Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for El Capitan/Centennial Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Valley at 7:00 p.m.
