Volleyball Recap: Mead's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Mead entered their tilt with Roosevelt on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Roughriders. The Mavericks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Roughriders, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 20-25, 25-13, 25-15.

Mead had a senior duo take command as Alana Costello had 23 digs and two aces and Kenidee Nix had seven digs and two aces. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Costello.

Mead was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Mead's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Roosevelt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Mead will venture away from home to take on Ralston Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roosevelt, they will host Greeley Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
